Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to the BOAVIDA iPhone app and this website, provided by BOAVIDA, LDA, Rua de São Paulo, 37, 1200-426 Lisboa, Portugal. By downloading or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. What BOAVIDA is
BOAVIDA is a personal journal that helps you rate areas of your life, note good things and plan small steps. The app is free and works fully offline.
2. Not medical advice
BOAVIDA is not a medical, psychological or diagnostic tool, and nothing in the app is medical or professional advice. Suggestions such as “small steps” are general ideas for reflection. If you have concerns about your physical or mental health, please talk to a qualified professional. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services.
3. Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, in line with these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
4. Your content
Everything you enter in the app belongs to you and is stored only on your device. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for your own backups. Because we do not store your data, we cannot restore lost entries.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the app except as permitted by law, and not to use it in a way that breaks the law.
6. Intellectual property
The app, its design, texts, library of suggestions and the BOAVIDA name and logo are owned by BOAVIDA, LDA and protected by law.
7. Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue the app or any feature. We try to keep the app working well but cannot guarantee that it will be free of errors or always available.
8. Liability
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, BOAVIDA, LDA is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data stored on your device. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Apple
These Terms are between you and BOAVIDA, LDA, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The current version is always on this page, with the date shown above.
